Real Heroes

A hero is someone who—in the face of danger and adversity—displays the courage, the will, and the moral excellence to sacrifice himself for the greater good. In modern movies, the hero is often an ordinary person who finds himself in extraordinary circumstances, who, despite the odds stacked against him, prevails in the end. But what about in real life? Are there real heroes?

Real Heroes, a half-hour television series about ordinary people who do extraordinary things. Most of the stories in the news today are sensationalized accounts of tragedies and misdeeds, which have a negative impact on viewers. The goal of Real Heroes is to show people at their best and to inspire viewers through feel-good stories about everyday people who rise above life’s unexpected changes and challenges to help inspire and make a positive impact.

Each week we focus on a new hero who will share an inspirational story of how they affected, helped, and changed their lives, communities, and even the world. The show will be shot in a reality show format with interviews and reenactments so as to attract a general audience. Each episode will chart the hero’s journey.

The series will also provide viewers with the opportunity to suggest a person they feel has made significant contributions to their lives to be profiled on the show.

The Caramel Kids

The Caramel Kids are a group of best friends who live in a mid-sized city in the eastern United States. The group is made of uup of boys and girls of diverse ethnicities, and they range in age from 6-10 years old.

They all live in the same neighborhood and meet up frequently at the neighborhood park which is in walking distance of their homes. There is a large tree with a wonderful tree house near the back of the park which the kids consider their own special headquaters for the Caramel Kids Club.

The Caramel Kids Club was founded by Kayla Baskerville and to become a member each child had to adopt the following motto:

We believe that we can be anything we want to be in life.
We believe that everyone is special in some way.
We believe in following our dreams so dream BIG!

The kids are all very motivated and each one has already decided what they want to be when they grow up. Thus, we see how each person's chosen career affects not only what they wear, but also how they interact with other people.

Geo Kids

Cameron and Casey live on the campus of Gazoo University with their parents who are professors there. As such, they and their cat, Zeus, pretty much have free reign of the campus. The place that they enjoy most is the campus planetarium. One day., while the kids are looking up at the galaxy, Zeus, who has a voracious appetite, accidentally jams the controls when he mistakes a lever for a candy bar. As a result, the projection spins wildly out of control, despite Zeus's efforts to fix it, and a vortex is created. The vortex opens up a worm hole, out of which a strange being falls to the floor. This being, with a huge globe-like head, introduces himself as a Galactic Observer, a G.O., who has come to observe Earth's present and past cultures. Using a Galactic Observer Time and Gravity Override (G.O.T.A.G.O.) He can manipulate time and fly a light speed. He invites the kids to join him on his quest for knowledge.

Casey, the younger, albeit more mature sister, is excited at the idea of seeing the world from an educational standpoint. Her slightly older brother, Cameron, is not as interst in the cultural aspects of the adventure as he is in fun and flying. Zeus wants to come along to sample the food. G.O. agrees to stay on campus, morphing into various objects in order to stay hidden until such time as the kids can join him on a trip.

The show is a half hour long animated series. Each episode focuses on a different culture, both current and ancient, which somehow ties into a dilemma or issue with which the kids are faced. G.O., who is always nearby, manages to pop-up out of nowhere just when the issue or dilemma becomes apparent, suggesting that they take a trip in order to find the solution. In doing so, he makes a suggestion of a time and place and using the G.O.T.A.G.O. which is on his belt, he presses buttons saying Enie Menie Minie Moe...Get a get a G.O.T.A.G.O., and off they go.

Hugh And His Crew

Hugh is a hippo (colorized in a light grey somethimes mixed with yellow undertones) who likes to dance (hip hop). He is a happy hippo (is there any other kind?). And he is a sharp dresser which sets the style for him and his crew consisting of fun messaged t-shirts over loosely fitting jeans. Accessories are sometimes worn which are square sunglasses and a baseball hat turned sides way or backwards. At all times, he wears one of this two necklaces over his t-shirt. One necklace bears his name , 'Hugh' and one which reads, 'Huge' (since "everything Hugh does, he does in a big way"). His clothing is colorful in primary colors. About his dancing, it's a theme for his personality. All stories have a run in with some music whereby Hugh instantly breaks into one dance move or another. He can wave, moonwalk, robot style, jump about as he dances and spin. He does not do any acrobatics in his moves.

Freddie The Beddie Bye Frog

Freddie is a cuddly stuffed Frog that 5-year-o0ld K.C. just had to have one day while out shopping with her Auntie. Her auntie thought the toy would be great for their sleepovers at bedtime because little K.C. hated bedtime. She had way too much energy for sleep, but a stuffed friend just might help her settle in for bed. "Let's call him Freddie, " exclaimed her Auntie, "Freddie the Beddie-Bye Frog." Her auntie had a wonderful voice and began to sing "Freddie, Freddie - The Beddie, Freddie, Freddie - The Beddie, Freddie, Freddie - The Beddie, He's Freddie The Beddie-Bye Frog!" K.C. loved it and joined right in. The two sang all the way home that day. What they didn't know was that there was a special magic in their new song.

At bedtime that night, Auntie tucked K.C. and Freddie in and kissed them both good night. "Sweet dreams you two," she said. "Maybe Freddie would like it if you sang our special song to help him fall asleep?" as she pulled the door up. K.C. squeezed Freddie tight and began to sing the Freddie song, but she finished he was still wide-awake. Frustrated, K.C. whispered in his ear, "I wish it wasn't bedtime, I really don't like to sleep!" Just then a voice responded, "Are you kidding, betime's going to be great, now that we're together!" It was Freddie! He was alive!
