A hero is someone who—in the face of danger and adversity—displays the courage, the will, and the moral excellence to sacrifice himself for the greater good. In modern movies, the hero is often an ordinary person who finds himself in extraordinary circumstances, who, despite the odds stacked against him, prevails in the end. But what about in real life? Are there real heroes?

 Real Heroes, a half-hour television series about ordinary people who do extraordinary things. Most of the stories in the news today are sensationalized accounts of tragedies and misdeeds, which have a negative impact on viewers. The goal of Real Heroes is to show people at their best and to inspire viewers through feel-good stories about everyday people who rise above life’s unexpected changes and challenges to help inspire and make a positive impact.

Each week we focus on a new hero who will share an inspirational story of how they affected, helped, and changed their lives, communities, and even the world. The show will be shot in a reality show format with interviews and reenactments so as to attract a general audience. Each episode will chart the hero’s journey.

The series will also provide viewers with the opportunity to suggest a person they feel has made significant contributions to their lives to be profiled on the show.
